A chance to hear Geneius present on the new STEC Testing Standard at SOFHT on 18th June.
Our Head of Research and Development, Dr. Christophe Noel, will present at a SOFHT Breakfast Club focusing on the debate over the testing and detection of pathogenic E. coli in foodstuffs ( 18th June, 2013). Christophe’s presentation will focus on the testing of Shiga toxin-producing Escherichia coli (STEC) and in particular the new testing standard ISO 13136, which uses a PCR-based method for the detection of STEC and determination of serogroups. The discussion will centre on the lack of availability of appropriate controls for the assay. At Geneius, we already service an inhouse PCR-based assay for the detection of STEC – if you are interested in learning more then please contact us on 0845 112 0 112.
